This web-site is intended mainly to provide a record of the exhibits in the open classes, but incidentally shows a few of the personalities there and a little of the intricate preparations involved before leaving home to stage the entries.

Tony Boston is the District Representative for Ireland in the (British) National Sweet Pea Society, and was instrumental in helping to revive the interest in exhibiting Sweet Peas in this country. His home horticultural society is the “Dublin 5” but he is usually present at all the shows where Sweet Pea classes are on the schedule.  The 2008 show at Rush was no exception, and although the “Dublin 5” show was to be on the following day, Tony had brought along enough flowers for five entries, including heirloom varieties for the  Bowl  class (Class 42).
