The competition is open to all.  All entries accepted will be displayed on the Photo Competition pages accessed from the buttons above, and stay there until the allocated web-space gets filled up.

 

Five prizes a year

So long as we have at least 30 entries each Sweet Pea year, we will award a prize in each of these five categories, each judged by a different specialist: -

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All entries accepted between 1st September each year and the following anniversary will be considered for all five categories.  Prizewinners will be notified by September 28.

 

Entry guidelines

To be accepted,  (there is no entry fee), every entry must include a recognisable instance of Lathyrus odoratus, the annual Sweet Pea.  Entries must either be in electronic form, or else as photographic prints.

 

Each electronic entry should be a file in a JPEG format (often a .jpg file), no bigger than 10 MB, attached to an e-mail.  If greater than 720 pixels wide or 540 pixels high it will be reduced in size before publication on this web-site.

 

We will also need a note of your name and address, a title or caption, and any additional commentary you may wish to make.  Click for e-mail template.

 

You will retain copyright in your entries, but you should include a declaration that you are the copyright holder and will allow publication without charge on this web-site and, if requested by its Editor, in the Annual of the National Sweet Pea Society.
