Ordering Seed
Quality and Price:
Apart from commercial seedsmen’s novelty packets, all the seed is graded here, and we only sell seed that’s a fair size for the variety.  Germination testing is carried out on every seed batch, with a minimum pass level of 90%. Since we make up packets to customers’ requirements, we charge 15 cent or 10 pence per seed, rather than quoting prices per packet.

Ordering:
It’s easy.  You can now send your order directly from this web-site - click  for the on-line order form.

Alternatively, simply send a letter to Cooltonagh, 183 Glenshane Road, The Cross, Co. Londonderry, BT47 3EN, Northern Ireland, saying which varieties you want and how many seed of each. It will be helpful to include a ‘phone number, just in case a variety is sold out.  For an up-to-date postal order form you can print out, click here.

Either way, we’ll reply, telling you how much money to send: there’s no fixed charge for postage and packing - we’ll just round up to the nearest £ or €.  When we get your cheque or PO, we’ll post your seed.

Cultural Advice:
New customers should receive two pages of cultural advice with their first consignment of seed.  The same document can be printed from this link.

We now have two new varieties available for sale for flowering in 2008.  On the Available Now page there are  photos of all the twenty-two sorts we have for sale.

If any of our novelties are being introduced for the current season by commercial seedsmen, we offer them in their own packets and at their prices.  This is because we don’t want to undermine the businesses that have bought their starting stocks from us and bulked them up to a commercial scale. So, for this season we can offer our new light blue in Kerton’s packets at cost:

Chris Harrod (from Kertons Sweet Peas) . . . . (20 seed). . . . . .  . . . .£2.50 . €3.75

This year, Florencecourt is a one-off exception.  Anticipating a big demand for this variety, we have an excellent stock of seed from New Zealand at our standard price, and UK-grown seed at £2.50/€3.75 per packet of 20 seed, all grown from Phill Kerton's  larger seed.and all over 4.5 mm size.  Please be sure to make a special note on your order if you prefer the UK-grown seed.
